How do I choose between InFocus Cloud and InFocus In-House (Self-Hosted)?

The choice largely comes down to the number of people who will be using the system, the availability of in house IT resources, and if you need full-control over the SQL database. Contact us for help deciding.

How many licenses do I need?

You need a license for each active employee. An active employee is anyone who uses a timesheet.

What are the technical requirements?

InFocus runs on Windows (Vista SP2 through Windows 10), or in an equivalent virtual environment. InFocus Time & Expense works in any modern web browser, mobile or desktop. InFocus In-House (self-hosted) also requires SQL Server 2008R2 or later. For more details see our technical white paper.

Do you offer Data Migration?

For both Cloud and Self-Hosted we can help you move from Deltek, QuickBooks, Sage, BQE, BST, and even home-grown systems. Cost depends on complexity, so contact us for a quote.

Is training included?

Extensive expert-led video-based training courses are included with InFocus. Additionally, webinars and in-person workshops are hosted often, and one-on-one consulting is available. See our learning page for details.

If we choose Cloud now, can we decide later to move InFocus to our own servers? Or vice-versa?

Yes. If for any reason you decide you want to change to Self-Hosted or Cloud we can help you make that transition.
